Set up in 2014 by a group of students at the University of Sheffield, the A Cappella & Beatbox Society has quickly grown into what it is today. We are an easy-going a cappella group that meets weekly to rehearse exciting arrangements using only the power of our voices.

Taking on both original and existing arrangements, we tackle a wide variety of genres, so whatever your taste there'll be something for you!

Our main unauditioned group Factory welcomes singers of all abilities, whether you've been singing for years or if this is your first time. This group meets every Monday from 6-8pm in The Jessop Building, Seminar Room 215.

We also run a smaller auditioned group, Steelworks, for individuals willing to dedicate more of their time to learn more technically challenging pieces. We have taken part in competitions such as the ICCAs (the competition in Pitch Perfect!) and are planning to release an album at the start of the 2020/21 academic year. Steelworks rehearse every Wednesday  and Friday from 6-9pm. Members of Steelworks can also attend Factory rehearsals on a Monday. We would love to see you audition in the upcoming academic year!
